What we do

Each month except July and August, we hold lecture meetings lasting for about one and a quarter hours, commencing at 7:00 pm, usually on the third Tuesday of the month. Our speakers are acknowledged experts in their fields and accredited by the National Association (NADFAS). All lectures are accompanied by screen images of outstanding quality.

Members may bring visitors to any lecture during the year, and a donation of £6 per guest is appreciated. All members and their guests are asked to sign in to complete our records and comply with fire regulations.

We meet at the John Innes Conference Centre, Colney, Norwich to the south-west of the city (Google map). The Conference Centre is a modern, beautifully appointed and comfortable theatre with the latest sound and projection equipment. Extensive, free parking is adjacent to the Centre.

Norwich DFAS volunteers may also help in local projects such as recording the inventories of selected churches, and by supporting arts activities for young people.

In addition, we organise regular trips to galleries and museums in the UK and abroad, also to historic houses and gardens.

We are a non-profit making registered charity, run by a Chairman and Committee, any Norwich DFAS member being eligible to stand for office.
